Mehdi Mohagheghi was born on13 June 1979 in Tehran. He holds a degreein Industrial Engineering.
As a child he began his musical training in reed and achieved higher
levels with the support of his father. Later on, his father encouraged
him to learn traditional music.

In 1989 he learned Tar and song with Ramin Eslah, after covering all
theories of Iranian traditional music he accompanied his master in a
concert which was performed in Golriz and Hashtbehesht cultural
centers. He has also had several other performances in different
cultural centers such as: Banou, Ebne Sina, and Shafagh.
After the year 1997 he decided to play guitar and Flamenco seriously.

He learned to play guitar by himself and revealed his musical talent.
His first professional appearance in Flamenco was in 2005, where he
participated in the guitar festival in Isfahan and holds the second
position.Following that, he formed a group with his friends and had their firstperformance in Isfahan and later on the second one on Niavaran stage in Tehran. Mohagheghi decided to present the first Flamenco Album in Iran with accompany of Hassan Najaf named "white guitar".

In 2006 he participated in the first round of Flamenco festival which
was held by Spain Embassy in Iran and owned the second place.
In 2006 and the next year 2007, he performed two concerts on Honar(Arasbaran) stage .
